Blurred Lines

For my final 10 on 10, I’m breaking a few rules; in fact, I’m breaking all of them. There are more than ten photos, and they weren’t taken on the same day. Honestly, if it’s that big a deal, please turn me in to the 10 on 10 police. Pretty sure that the fine will be worth it since I decided to use the photos from my daughters’ college graduation. On May 16, 2013, Jordan and Shelby graduated from Temple University, and I couldn’t be prouder of them. They have done things I never thought possible, and I can’t wait to see what they do in the future. The photos are blurry and I didn’t capture every moment, but I don’t care. Some are…

As a public school teacher, I consider myself to be very fortunate. Not because I work cushy hours (I don’t – 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM is a long day especially on the weekends because I’m revising or editing or trying to improve my kids’ writing) or because the taxpayers fund my retirement (I contribute 17.4% of my paycheck every cycle to my own retirement) or because my healthcare is subsidized (you’ve got me on that one). All photos were taken on October 5, 2012 in Newark, New Jersey and Toronto, Canada. If you’re done here, go check out Laura Louise’s day. That would be her in the fifth photo taking something awesome, no doubt!

Nine In the Afternoon

I guess when I contemplated doing the August Break, I took it as a break for a month from blogging . . . good thing I didn’t sign up for it since I clearly didn’t fully grasp the concept. That being said, it’s time for another 10 on 10. When I started this, I planned on picking my day from the previous month. But like all good plans, this one fell by the wayside in the lovely month of August. It’s a really tricky month for me: my anniversary, my parents’ anniversary, at least three birthdays (really more like six or seven when you add in cousins), plus several other anniversaries. And then there’s the whole back-to-school fun. So getting a 10 on 10…
