Nearly didn’t make the 10 on 10 this month. Sure, there have been a few days when I took ten photos, but those photos were mostly of our new puppy, Lucy. And while love good dog photos, she’s not quite there with the camera in her face, and truly, I don’t know if I’ll ever be there with capturing her running after the cat. Come Friday, February 8, better known to some of you as the Wrath of Nemo, I figured that I may as well make that the day. I spent my day playing with Lucy, which really meant getting up early and taking her for a little walk, snuggling on the couch with Lucy, running to Target and then to the post office (ahhhh . . . Nemo! Day off from school for no real snow. Such a waste!), taking a small nap while Dave worked from home, taking Lucy for another walk only to find out she was crapping blood (too much?), driving to the vet just as the snow began to fall, waiting with Dave until the doctor could see us and give us some meds, watching Lucy play with Olive (no . . . they aren’t ghosts), and then watching the snow continue to fall well into the evening. I’m pretty sure that Laura might have a few photos of her latest addition in her 10 on 10. Why don’t you go have a look after you’re done here.

PS – Benefit of Sirius Satellite radio? More likely to hear some favorites from the ’80s like “Lips Like Sugar”
The b+w of her is so sweet. She’s perfect.
She’s a nudge, but she’s adorable. Pretty laid back, too.
Im loving that B&W one her, I can imagine she’s been enjoying the snow!
I first shoveled a huge patch of grass for her because she’s so tiny, but that was completely unnecessary. She hops like a bunny rabbit.
the photo on the stairs-very cool!
I was focused on her and then Olive jumped. She’s such a tease. Lucy really wants to play with her, but Olive plays on her terms.
yup, love the photo on the stairs! and Lucy too.
It’s a great name, right? She’s snuggled next to me on the couch. And we’re working on our commands/cues, too.
I love the stairs shot!
I was so leery about using it since it was blurry as all get out, but in the end, I really needed a 10th image, and I kinda liked the blur (since it’s a good indicator of their relationship).
how close and real she feels through these, jill. like the memories are actually woven in. the black and white image on the stairs is so, so interesting and new feeling. different and great.
She’s my little hot water bottle! Very, very cozy to have curled next to you on a cold winter’s night. We’re being lazy today since my husband left for another business trip.
Um, I was really confused because I knew there was a storm, but I didn’t know it had a name. So I’ve been looking through posts for Finding Nemo somewhere, and now it all makes sense. I guess I better just stick to California. Hahaha.
The stair shot is awesome, and I’m in love with Lucy.
I have no idea when they started naming winter storms, and truly, I think it’s just a thing that The Weather Channel did and it “caught” on in other media outlets. But it is the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a long time. The latest one is called Orko . . . see? Dumb! PS – I’m kinda in love with Lucy, too. And she totally knows it.
You totally called it : ) You know me well!! LOVE that b&w of Miss Lucy!!! Oh those eyes…you’re a goner.
Shelby thinks she has sad eyes, but I just think it’s a puppy thing. Olive is being a bit of a tormentor towards her; she will get a tennis ball and roll it in front of Lucy when she knows that she is done playing only to get her riled up again. Such a bitch, that cat.
is she ok??? a ll well at the vet? maybe i missed it and need to re read… SOOO cute. i want to squeeze her.
She’s fine. Too many different types of treats caused colitis. Nothing major but she’s on the mend. And down to one type of treat.
I Love Lucy. hehee.. no, for realz, I do. But duh? This was my fave 10×10 of yours ever. Loved the whole set.
Love this set! Lucy is adorable- that first shot makes me really miss having dogs!! & I’m glad you guys didn’t get dumped on too bad, we’re actually getting snow here today, we’ll see how long it sticks around 😉
She’s being a bit of a shit pot right now, but Lucy is a little love bug most of the time.
I love all of the photos — and Lucy is wonderful. Always inspired when I visit here — thanks much for that.
She is kinda wonderful . . . even if she’s now up past her bedtime and driving me batty.
How much fun is your new puppy? Absolutely adorable : ). I am glad you had a great month. I think winter would be a perfect time for a new pet. When life is gloomy and dreary, you added an instant cheer machine : ), right? Wishing you a beautiful week.
Thanks! She certainly is a snuggle-bug . . . currently snuggled on the couch next to me.
